Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small browser records that accompany relevant requests. Language preferences use both localStorage and a functional cookie; product and dimension preferences use localStorage only. localStorage values are not automatically sent with each request.
Language preference
metal-asia-language remembers the language in your browser. The metal-asia-locale cookie sends the same language code to the server so the entry page opens in the right language without another page load. It is written when you select a language or an earlier explicit preference is migrated. It contains no name, email or browsing history. An older vertexmetall-language preference may be migrated.
Quotation list and plate dimensions
metal-asia:quote-list:v1 stores identifiers for up to eight selected products. metal-asia:plate-dimensions:v1 stores entered dimensions and quantities for selected products. These records do not themselves store your name or email. Product selections and dimensions may accompany a submitted enquiry.
Duration and appearance preference
The metal-asia-locale language cookie expires after one year; selecting a language again renews it. Language, quotation-list and dimension records in localStorage have no automatic expiry and remain until you or the browser clear them. The theme preference is held only in the open page.
Analytics, advertising and infrastructure
With your permission, we measure approximate country, device type, current page and visit times using random sessions. Measurement records exclude raw IP addresses, form details and precise location. The panel covers the last 24 hours; old records are regularly deleted. Your preference lasts 180 days and the random session ID lasts for this tab. Measurement is processed on Netlify infrastructure. You can withdraw permission in cookie settings. If supplied by the provider, approximate IP-based city and region are also measured. These are not verified physical locations; VPNs and mobile networks may change the result. GPS, coordinates and street addresses are not collected.
Managing your preferences
Change language from the menu or remove products from your quotation list. Your browser’s site-data or privacy settings let you delete METAL ASIA storage or restrict it. Clearing site data may reset your language, product list and saved dimensions; it does not delete an enquiry already sent. Rights concerning submitted enquiries are described in the Privacy Policy.
Administrator login security
A necessary HttpOnly session cookie is used only after administrator login, not for advertising or statistics. Sessions last up to 8 hours and become invalid after 30 minutes of inactivity or secure logout. Passwords are not stored in plain text. Login attempts are limited for 10 minutes using a one-way address digest to prevent abuse. Expired session and attempt records are regularly removed.
